TheWatchBox.com Reviews

Hello,
Anyone have any experience with thewatchbox?
Can they be trusted to sell authentic watches? How is their customer service? Any encounters with their warranty?
Thank you so much for any info

They are the sister store to Govberg an Authorized Dealer.

I bought a watch from them in late 2017. Paid the premium because they are a large company associated with Govberg and figured the watch had been looked over by a competent watchmaker and authenticated with a 1 year warranty.

The watch stopped working within the first year. I sent it back under warranty and had it returned with a huge dent on the chamfer of my case. Luckily I took pics before sending it in and had proof that it was returned to me damaged. I was appalled they would try and play it off and hope I wouldn't notice. I spoke to a supervisor and with some fighting did get what I asked for, but ultimately settled for my original watch, unpolished. Every time I see the dent on the case it reminds me of them, I probably wouldn't buy a watch from them again.

My experience with Govberg/WatchBox has been very positive, no issues.

Have you purchased from them since? Even hearing mostly good things, when I see one thing like this it makes me very hesitant to want to go through a company that would do that.
