Watch for the wife?

What is a good watch for the wife? Doesn’t necessarily have to be a Patek, but am definitely not looking for a Rolex for her.

The one SHE prefers, obviously.
Come on chap, use your initiative — take her out shopping instead of expecting a bunch of blokes telling you what to buy her.
She’ll appreciate the time spent together doing that, than if you just hand her a box saying you bought it after consulting random strangers on the internet!

Watch for the wife?

Nowadays — ANYTHING — sky is the limit. My wife wears - or has worn just about all of mine at one point or another — the days of the 27mm two tone datejust are long gone!!!

Of all my watches I think my wife has always gravitated towards DJ and Daytonas - she couldn’t care less about AP or Patek. And anything with diamonds. LOL.

Good luck!! Look forward to seeing what you decide.

Twenty~4 is the best selling ladies' Patek of all time. I recently saw the new automatic Twenty~4 and it looks nice as well, although with a moderate price jump from the quartz movement model.

Patek 7118 gets my vote. If she doesn't like that, take her to look at Cartier and Piaget for ladies.

Recently, I just bought my wife a 7010 Full gold Champagne dial. She fell in love within seconds!

Outside of Rokex, Cartier Tank is a nice option IMO.

Whatever the case, I agree with Neil, take her to an AD and let her choose.

I’m trying to get 7018 for my wife but cannot get it from the ADs around here. Grey market adds +20% for them so I might get her an everose Daytona instead.

That's a much larger watch than the 7018/7118....

She likes her annual calendar. It doesn't wear as big on her wrist in real life as it looks in the pic, but she does have small wrists.
We were multiple repeat customers at the AD and had to wait months for it.

is that so

I would absolutely take the wife to the AD and let her have the experience of picking... the few times I picked out a watch I thought my wife would like, she ended up going in different directions

I got the 7118 for my wife’s birthday last month.

But she prefers the AP more though.

If that's her arm, the 7118 fits MUCH better!

We have a 7118 Blue on order for my wife, can't wait.

Get the brand new 24 Automatic. I just saw the steel version with the gray/brown dial this past weekend it's an easy choice.
