Congrats!
Personally, I really like the cyclops, and, for me, it balances the design nicely (the date window otherwise is a tad small). |

Congrats. I probably would not have purchased mine if it didn't have a cyclops, but my eye site is not great.

Wouldn’t have bought mine without the cyclops! Cyclops is Rolex, I am afraid, my friend. If you are not a fan, it is going to be tough for you to wrap your arms around most Rolex sports models these days. Regardless, congrats on the acquisition!

I really don’t understand what isn’t to like about the cyclops. I think it looks great, like all things they progress and this is a modern take on the origins SD

I like the cyclops too; enjoy owning the 43mm. Tough, resilient watch which could last several lifetimes.
One other thought; is it really 'beautiful.'? Not to me, striking yes, handsome, possibly, but beautiful? A bit too chunky for that. Which is fine, |

I am in the no cyclops camp. Just looks cleaner without one.
Would be even better with a domed crystal ala the dssd. |

Congratulations! Great watch. Had the opprtunity to try one on from a grey dealer in Paris couple of months ago. Size was smaller than expected for 43 mm, that was a pleasant surprise. Red text was great, cyclops a little bit of a dissapointment for me personally.

No dive watch is complete without being able to read the date underwater in case you need to write a check or something.

I agree. Rolex = cyclops, period.
Doesn't look like having the cyclops is hurting sales, at all. |

Congrats! Great watch! And welcome in the club. I have mine almost a year now and its my nr.1 watch. i just love it. and yes i love the cyclops as well! the sea dweller never had one because it was technologically not possible. and not because the desing of the sea dweller traditionally doesent have one. rolex make it possible to create a saphir crystal in 4000 ft. and thats rolex. they create the best possible.
here is mine [IMG][/IMG] |
