Went from a 80's DD to a 2008 DD and I cannot fathom not having a Rolex on my wrist every day... Buy it, wear it, never look back

I only have one Rolex (116710LN) and wear it as my daily wear watch. Granted, I take it off if I'm doing anything that could potentially damage it.

When I got my first sub I was also a little reluctant to wear it everyday like you but as you get deeper into learning about the history of subs you realize how purpose built they are and that they are very very tough! If soldiers could wear them then they can survive yard work!

Absolutely will wear it always
I just purchased a 39mm Explorer, immediately ripped off all the protective coating and popped it on my wrist. Will wear it wherever and whenever. If it gets beat to heck over the years, so be it. Either I will invest in a new model that catches my eye or keep wearing the Explorer. After all, when all is said and done, it is simply a watch. A utility device, yet a utility device to wear proudly. Now that I said all this, I will also say that if you own a very expensive Rolex then I can understand why you want to be more careful with it. Whatever rings your bell. LOL

As this is my first watch...I certainly plan to. Of course, I only got my watch on Monday.

Yes, you can wear it as your daily watch... except when you want to have something else on your wrist... Sometimes I wear my granddad’s Rolex, which was his daily wearer!

I daily my 214270 Explorer. I wear it washing the car, swimming, traveling, playing with my dogs. Its actually never run out of power. It’s insured, so I’m not worried about a thing. When I buy my new Seasmater I’ll probably rotate every other day.

Every day since I purchased my first 26 years ago. I've had the good fortune to add several to my collection since then, but you will find a Rolex on my wrist every day.... just not the same one!

Have been wearing a Rolex everyday since many years, either a Sub, SD, GMT or Milgauss.

My 114060 is a part of my body. I even sleep and shower with it.
It's the best tool watch IMO, just my 2 cents. |

About 40 years of wearing a Rolex almost everyday. I started with a 1680 Sub for several years and now wear my Rolexes in rotation after collecting many more.

Life's to short to worry, get it insured and wear it daily. I wear my sub all day and to sleep, I take it off when I shower and back it's on.

Outside of a couple inherited pieces (that I wouldn't dare wear everyday for their sentimental value) and the occasional weekend day with my Turtle, I wear my Rolex comfortably every single day. A Rolex, while beautiful, has always been meant to be a daily workhorse.
As for your concerns in case size, that's really a personal preference. The Maxi case of the 6 digit bothers some people and for others it's a welcome change and some more heft on their wrist. YMMV.

most days it's a Rolex. Not always the same one. But usually it has a crown on it!

No.
I have an electrocution risk at work, so no jewelry. I also work in small spaces that are full of hard materials that would cause severe damage, not just some light scratches. Finally, I work in some high crime areas, so the last thing I need to do is flash a nice watch. Outside of work - yes. I wear it every chance I get. |

I’ve been wearing my Sub for over 30 years in construction. it’s been overhauled several times and it performs its role flawlessly. Nothing seems to have hurt my watch.
