Hands On Basel 2018 - Rolex Boutique NYC

Opportunity this evening at Rolex Boutique NYC to try on some great Basel 2018 watches ....

Star of the show of course was the Pepsi GMT.... I like it !

Two tone was very nice too!

WG Pepsi ....solid watch

Everose GMT..... sweet watch - not flashy at all

Surprisingly the new designed DSSD JC - fits quite nice with nice lugs/bracelet

Sky-D still not loving it

Cool group shot!!!

Great photos. Thanks for posting!

Out of curiosity, did your opinion change on any of the models after seeing them in person?

All the new models have the obligatory 10:11 so were they props or real?

I wish I knew!!!! I stopped by Tourneau to see if they had any idea when my GMT SS Pepsi would arrive. They said still no definite arrival date. Did the folks at Rolex have an estimate when we will start to see these arrive in Manhattan?

Comment on jubilee bracelet of the SS BLRO...

although much shinier than typical PCL Oyster....it wasn't bright as I had thought it would be. Granted up bright lights of the store everything was maxed up but overall i thought it was the right amount of shine for the SS BRLO :-)

SS BLRO is very nice! Just waiting for the call too. Talking to key representatives there (for what its worth) the word is that 2018 models will hit US stores beginning in summer. Not sure what exactly or how many, just that they are scheduled to arrive.

TT was nice....but the full Everose GMT really warmed up to me! Thinking hard about that one too!

Thanks!

I would have to say i'm really thinking hard about the full Everose GMT....its a REALLY nice watch and good heft!

On another note the DSSD JC - seems to sit really nice on the wrist know, but i could be imagining things.

Real watches and real PM but dummy or non-working movements

The group shot was really cool! Everyone who attended had some awesome Rolex timepieces...all the good stuff!

Wine, champagne, and nice little hors d'ouerve were circulated. Sliders were extremely yummy!

it's nice to try them on to get a feel and see how they truly look on your wrist...watches always look different when strapped onto your wrist than in pictures or someone else's wrist

I was surprised the WG BLRO (blue dial) decreased in price vs. the original WG BLRO (black dial)

You mean the Tudor GMT? I need to see it, but i'd pick the SS BLRO anyway of the week over the Tudor GMT

It's a stunning watch and pretty good price. Obviously these are not cheap watches but on a relatively basis at $14k USD, its pretty well priced.

It should be the same bezel. I asked the Rolex USA rep. It could be just the light/angle

i didn't know this but the new TT GMT, Everose GMT, and SS BLRO also have longer minute and hour hands. WG BLRO (blue dial) keeps same hands as before (as well as same movement as before)
