Talk me out of a 2nd Turtle

In July I got the SRP777 and I love it much more than I thought I would, initially it was more of a curiosity with a cushion case style watch without forking out for a Doxa or Panerai...

With the exception of the occasional dinner wearing a dressier watch, and only one day wearing my Planet Ocean (which I've worn daily for the last 6-7 years) the Turtle has been strapped to me daily since I purchased it for a nice discount on sale too!

Well I happened to go to a local dept. store yeasterday and they had not only the black SRP777 in stock, but a whole bunch...the blue dial/blue bezel. the pepsi bezel, the gold PVD coated, the PADI...

and...

The Save the Ocean...

Wow! I kinda liked it in photos, but I always thought the STO Great White edition was more appealing... But I have to say the STO was just stunning in person.

I have always wanted a blue dial watch, but I just bought the black dial 777 and I want to continue the enjoyment of it... I feel like the STO would take away a bit, but at the same time I don't want to let it go... (Bezel was perfectly aligned, and the was smooth). Seikos were 25% off and if I sign up for the store card, another 20% on top of that...

That blue textured dial is spectacular.

Thing is, my next affordable watch was going to be the Hamiiton Khkaki Mechanical (38mm hand wind)...

Decisions...

Buy it!... I mean if you buy it, it will be awesome!.... I mean that blue dial would give you another cool option to wear...

Turns out talking you out of it is harder than I thought it would be!

You won't regret it. I've gotten the SRP777, STO, Great White, and am planning on getting the PADI one also this year.

Haha Congrats! STO is an awesome watch and you can never go wrong with a different colour way for different occasions or just to mix things up.

I really love the dial on that one!

Fairly priced Seikos are fun to collect

My entire (large) Seiko collection costs less than one Rolex.

Ah...sorry to disappoint, but I have not worn it yet because I think I am going to return the STO. As much as I am mesmerized by the dial, in the end it's redundant and I feel my enjoyment of either would be diminished by keeping both due to them being so similar.

Keeping/loving the black dial of course.

Think I'm going for the manual wind Hamilton field watch next (as planned).
