You are correct. DJ2 was only offered with Oyster, and when DJ41 came out the clasp on Jubilee bracelet was changed from the original to the oyster clasp. Both things proving that the card could not have been altered from 2014, as my DJ41 did not exist in 2014.

That warranty card makes me wonder what’s inside of that watch.

I’m going today to the store where I purchased it with everything to ask some questions. However, I’m not sure how a possible altered date on the warranty card automatically means the watch itself was altered. Seems like a stretch, but maybe that’s just me.

Box looks good , another way to tell is looking at the hinge, but your watch has a warranty card dated 11/19 , I think late 2019 models had the crown between Swiss made and yours doesn’t have it , another reason to think it’s a 2017 card unless it was sold as old stock on late 2019 but too much coincidence IMHO.

Yes, I also think it’s 2017 because of the 30 second marker between Swiss Made instead of the crown.

I’m not really sure what I’m hoping to accomplish going back there today, but I’ll keep you all posted later this afternoon.

I know what I'd be hoping to accomplish. A full refund.

If you still desperately want to keep the watch for whatever reason then I'd be looking for a partial refund based on a doctored warranty card. You kind of have to almost value that watch as no card.

Well, I didn’t get a full refund, but I did get a new watch. He agreed that the warranty card looked off and offered me an exchange even though mine was worn for about a month.

I’m much more comfortable with the clean font on the new card and very pleased with their customer service. Happy to finally put this issue to rest. Thank you all for the help.

There is no harm in double and triple checking these things. There are so many fake boxes and cards floating around out there.

You got a good result there, but I would be a little bit disappointed that the Grey Seller didn’t spot the suspect date on the warranty card prior to selling it. Well done on the result and enjoy!

I feel like you'd do some good to let people know who the seller was since I think their behavior was excellent and it'd serve as a solid review for people to buy there in the future. Mishaps can always happen, what you do to fix those mishaps is what sets trustworthy people apart from eventual scammers.

Awesome result for what was probably going to end up to be a non issue.

agree as well, once a seed of doubt is sowed in your mind, the only place to clear that doubt is the RSC.

Spot on!

The original date was written in pen/something other than the marker.

Second, that 9 was a 4, nines aren't naturally written like that.

They simple traced over the pen/with marker, and changed the 4 to a 9.
