2014 model 116000? What are the upgrades?

My wife is in the market for an 116000 but I saw they have new dial designs for 2014..aside from the dials what do you think are the other upgrades and improvements that they made compared to the previous models? Thanks

I think it is just the dials... Could be wrong though.

I believe it's just the dial. Everything else should be the same.

Rolex doesn't make model year watches, a 116000 this year is the same as last year and still uses the same movement it has used for decades.

Dials are introduced to stimulate sales from time-to-time and always at Basel for some models, they don't fall into the category of "upgrade".

It is likely though, that over the past few years, they have introduced the parachrom hairspring into this model. Some folks do look for that.

I guess the biggest difference other than dial color would have to be the removal of the 3-6-9 indices. Perhaps Rolex wanted to further differentiate the OP from the Exp I.

Great watch, now I'm worried that I won't be able to say to to the new Milgauss with electric dial.
