Here's my beater - overloved perhaps - maybe a bit overpolished but tons of fun and has taken a licking but tough as hell.

After a hunt for a NATO strap in local jewelers I came across a rather nasty woman.

A lady in her 50's asks rather grumpily "Can I help you?!" as she gives me a dirty look.
"Uhh, yes" I say nervously, as she is quite large and intimidating. "I'm after a NATO strap for my watch." she gives me an odd look and asks what watch I have, after I tell her it's a Rolex Submariner she abruptly asks if it's real and asks to look at it. After about two minutes of me sitting there not knowing what to do she kindly tells me she does not have any NATO straps and that I shouldn't get one because it's not the original strap. I look at her as if to say 'that's kind of obvious ma'am' as I say "Thanks for your time" and swiftly exit the shop.

Still looking for a NATO. Might buy one online. :)

They are so easy to find online, so this story makes me wonder...

you just can't seem to get this watch maiden out of your mind. First your thoughts keep going back to her, then you read and re-read your post about her...find yourself walking by her shop now and again......

Love is born. Keep us posted.

And if she is an ad...lovers discount?

I really dig the James Bond striped NATO, but find the Corvus brand a bit too thin for my taste. Can you fellas recommend a thicker alternative? Many thanks!

1) It wasn't an AD
2) She was about 55+ and I am 14.
3) No thanks.

I chose this NATO with the colour scheme, as the red matches the dial.
Not a bad look, if I may say.

Gorgeous Sea-Dweller faded insert.
Rugged, rough, great charcoal fade, and without any doubt naturally faded, congrats.

great pics all!

my favorite combo, sub on horween/cordovan leather.

....modded nato, cut off the keeper strap, allows me to position the buckle in a more comfortable place.

I usually wear the explorer on either this olive Zulu, or the Perlon

The Sub gets the black NATO
