Grail pen on order!

I've fulfilled a pen bucket list item tonight my friends! I've been actively bidding on/searching for an Omas Titanium Paragon in bronze PVD for 6 months now. There's a seller on eBay that seems to have several of these but with the diamond encrusted cap band. He has the listed buy it now for an insane price but every few months, he'll put one up on auction no reserve. I've been tracking prices to plan my bids accordingly but prices just keep going up exponentially! Pen emporium has one of these listed without the diamond cap band for a fixed price but they want about the last sale price for one with a diamond band. Crazy! I got an email the other day from Bryant Greer (Chatterley Luxuries) about what's on sale......I dread these emails but love them at the same time! There were no less than 4 pens on my list at insane low prices. I was surprised to see the Omas I had been looking for on sale! The price was hundreds less than Pen emporium. I just about fell out of my chair! I immediately got a hold of Bryant and made a great deal. Great guy to work with! I'm really excited about this pen! I feel I caught it right before they became unattainable at any reasonable price! No plans to sell, just write

Great pen. I have it and had lusted over it for a while. The diamond one was nice but I prefer this. Out of curiosity what did you end up getting it for?

Haha, there's more fun in the chase I reckon...

Quite a few Omas at our annual pen show swapmeet last Sunday but I don't know much about them so didn't pay much attention.

I sort of "discovered" them right at the end. Made it just time to put together a solid collection before things got totally outrageous. I think this one caps off my Omas selections. Maybe a green arco or a Ti 360. Got a spot in my heart for a new style Paragon in black and gold too. Ok so 3 pens to go! It never ends. Who am I fooling.....lol

Couldn’t imagine buying the new vanishing points every year or the new Lamys. I’ve sold off most of my collection now.

Trying to get to 12 pens. Still another 10 pens to go.

I went with a fine nib but that's all Bryant had around. The Omas fine nibs are pretty nice but I would have preferred a stub. I have another Paragon in fine but the limited pens seem to have different characteristics despite the nib supposedly being the same. EDIT: Pen is in the mail so I'll have some impressions this week.

Thanks guys. Only 2 days to go. Got a Namisu Ti pen coming somewhere this week also along with a replacement Montegrappa Fortuna in Teak. Going to be a big week for pens over here. Have to send back a Faber Castell too for QC issues??. Total pendemonium.

Update on this. It writes ok in a fine nib. The nib is a little springy but not too much. The tines had been misaligned when I got the pen so I had to tweak them straight a little. I did a good amount of polishing as well. Overall I could take the nib or leave it. It's not my favorite Omas nib by a long shot. Swapping it out would also be difficult as the gold plating on the entire pen is a pink gold rather than the other Omas pens with red gold plating. The rest of the pen is spectacular but the nib is so so.

I think nibs.com also has spare omas nibs that would match the rose gold.
