So who here is going to buy a 15202 for $29K??

Talk about crazy...a trusted seller is asking over $29K for an unworn 15202. Any takers??

Think i know who it is. It's ludacris. Would rather get 15400 or 15300 at that point.

Chronext have them for $32K in the UK, so this is where prices are heading, so now's the time to buy. These are much harder to find grey than 5711s as well so prices could really move suddenly.

This hobby is expensive but this is getting a little out of hand. Don’t mind paying reasonable prices if a watch will hold value but all these watches going for way over list is a little much. Was trying to help my friend find a Patek last night and he isn’t a watch collector. He has an old sub but wanted a nautilus or aquanaut. He had no problem paying a premium for it. I’m sure there are more like him that want the watch and want it now and will continue to drive prices up.

Wow.
Things are getting out of hand. If any watch was going to do it, it would be this one.

Wonder if it will reach price parity with 5711. That will be interesting.

its worth it objectively if a 5711 is worth its new retail price. Im not even counting the 5711 secondary pricing.

The 15202 is relatively cheap in comparison for a seriously iconic watch.

So what are your projections for 15202IP prices then?

Absolutely

I think its massively overlooked, even for the watch that changed watches...

thats really tough. I have no idea long term. Its limited so there is that, but then again head to head i would pick the SS version every time.

The dial on the IP is really nice, no question, just cant get on board with the bezel.

Dealers will mark it up initially and then it depends on the price delta between that and the 15202, which will be higher than now, as to whether demand will sustain those higher prices, I think it probably will as dealers will be patient and no one seems to want to undercut the market and drop prices, all are trying to keep the bubble in tact until a black swan event... which now might include a rapper going to jail for unacceptable crimes.

it’s a blue dial bnib 15202, not a black one that’s asking for 29k.
and the one that’s asking for 25k is a used one.

We know, a black one would be 100K!

Given its limited production volume and controlled distribution, I think the 15202IP could well command a significant premium in the secondary market. If AP succeed in placing pieces into the hands of collectors, as they clearly intend to, the secondary market will not be particularly deep.

Its surely a premium but not many out there and I am sure someone will pay it, or very close to. If I was a 15202 guy, I wouldn't really have much issue with the price given what it is and that its brand new. Thankfully I need the second hand and quickset date, so 15300 blue was my vice.

Based on his latest Instagram post, it seems that DSW has secured a piece, so it looks like we will not have to wait long to know where the secondary market will initially price these.

Keep us posted, I think it looks like a winner, terrifying for sure, but winning.

This with limited suply and controlled distribution I think we need some times to see how work because I call my AD to ask about 15202IP and 26331 platinum/steel and this year can't be possible to get one!
Very strange how are already on grey market!
If that represent "controlled distribution"to AP then we can tell them DON'T WORK!

Correct, if they want to control the secondary market and get the newest and coveted watches in the hands of serious collectors and AP aficionados there's no reason a gray should have the watch, a NEW watch, at a markup before the end user. There are better ways to control the supply chain rather than just closing down AD's, limiting supplies, and only selling at MSRP.
