I honestly can't understand all the hate for the double batons at 3/6/9. At all.

Don't numerous other Rolex references have distinctive hour markers at 3/6/9 position? The bars on the Sub/GMT/Explorer II, the arabic numerals on Explorer I, fatter/double-batons on vintage Datejusts (1601, for example), same on vintage Air Kings (5500).

To me, it gives the watch a much-welcomed break from the more stoic/conservative DJ. It can present a mid-century modern look (like the vintage models I just referenced) or a more sportier flair (as with the sport models). It's one of my favorite parts of the new 2020 OP36.

I'm not shy to criticize Rolex, but really dumbfounded by the vocal dislike on this...

Don’t suppose there’s much to understand about personal taste short of an extensive never-to-be-carried-out survey except that people will like/love/dislike/hate or be ambivalent towards them.

I like the new colors, dislike the 41 size and am not bothered at all by the batons either way.

Selective hysteria from the same people who didn't even know about Stella dials before Sept 1st.

Wait until they find out about Roulette dials, Turn-O-Graphs and concentric double 9 Air King dials.

I love them, they have much more character than the OP39 models - I think the white OP39 was beyond plain.

I got the Gold/Silver dial, love the double 18c gold Double markers and 70 hours reserve

Invicta is jealous of the new colors. Lol Def cheapens the brand if you ask me but guess they are trying to reach different demographic.

Just picked up my green 41 and love it. I've got a pretty diverse group of fancier/more complicated pieces and I love the simplicity and levity of the OP, and especially the green as it basically shows as various forms of racing greens depending on the light...and I'm a huge car guy. The double batons on the 41 I actually really like now, though wasn't sure in the beginning but with the added dial real estate, its nice having the extra bit of metal there, and kind of gives a cool crosshairs vibe. To each their own, as always!

It seems like a lot of you guys just don't like Rolex stepping away from their historical seriousness...aside from obviously when they did the Stella dials in the 70s which go for really good money now .

Oh, and demographics wise...I know people from 30-70 who have ordered the new dials, so while there will definitely be some new younger generation popping in there, I think this release just speaks to the child at heart of those who are interested in embracing it...vs people who are "just trying to match their shoes" .

don't care for them one bit. but i even moved on from the hulk and batman types so my watch preference is too conservative i guess. but i can imagine they are fun. shoot i used to wear the flashiest shoes playing sports so i say rock on.

41 mm too big, and some of the colors are awful. I do like the green and the aqua. For me, I need the 36 mm size.

I preferred having a 39mm choice, but I am considering a 36mm. I love green and I might want to try one out some day. My wife is another fan of the Tiffany dial as well. I didn’t think I would see Rolex bringing these dials back again.

People (not this people) pay thousands extra for a GMT just because it has a different bezel so as long as Rolex doesn't suddenly make so many yellow ones that any peasant with $7000 could walk into the mall and own one people will throw whatever it takes to have one. They've become the rich man's (or poor man with good credit) Beanie Babies.

I do like them better than some other recent releases but a white dial Milgauss is about as flashy as I ever got. I'm more comfortable in an Explorer.
