Indeed. I gave my 116520 white dial to my wife. it is however such a versatile watch and while larger not all that large and really looked better on her than me anyway.

What did you report? Was it that some people don’t like the look of larger watches on smaller wrists? Differing opinions are good, no one wants an echo chamber.

Andrea has a tiny wrist 5.25" soaking wet

She dailies a 34mm date and now she's absconded with "lucky 3"

My petite wife loves her 41mm Tudor Ranger. When I get my grail watch, a BLRO, she has staked claim to my BLNR which she prefers over the Pepsi. Love the confidence, self-assurance and moxie a woman has who lives by her own rules! My wife and her Batman will look even better while driving my full-sized Denali pickup truck instead of her Audi!

I agree with the OP that women can pull off a larger watch better. It’s not an ideal look, generally. More so for a man. My ex and I would both wear my DJ and Explorer 36mm. That would be an absolute max size, IMO. They looked good on the both of us, even though her wrist is significantly smaller. There is no way my wife’s wrist could pull off even a 34mm without looking ridiculous.

I personally like larger watches on smaller wrist sizes on women, but not on men.

On the internet it's easy to have an opinion.
But in real life I've never said, or even thought, "that watch looks too big on her (or him)".

I am not a fan, looks like she is wearing Daddy's watch. But that is only my personal opinion which means squat. If she likes the look she should go for it.

some people just don't get it, any watch will look great on a pretty ladies, regardless their wrist size. They make the watches look good, not the other way.

From 26mm lady size to 44 JC blue to 47 PAM, I have yet seen any watch look bad on a pretty girl.

A lot of women look great with a 36-40mm watch.

For me, a watch reaches its point of being uncomfortably too large to wear before it can even look too big for my wrist. This was how I felt wearing the maxi case, thick lug GMT-Master II and Submariner.

40mm 5-digit sport models on the other hand, wear fantastic and comfortable throughout the entire day.

I definitely think it works on a woman! I've seen petit women wear 44mm Panerai's and it looks good...theres something especially if its just a little looser so wears more like jewelry than being super tight as well. And subs and Daytonas look great.

I agree, I like seeing a sports Rolex on a lady, ie a Sub, Daytona, Yachtmaster etc. I think it says something about the lady (in a good positive way).
Why should women be expected to wear small diameter watches on their right wrist. To hell with convention, ladies wear what you want!

No need to buy a size 13 shoe if you wear a size 10. Doesn't look/feel right to me when the watch can rotate around the whole wrist bone. But to each his own.

I am personally not a fan of the big watches on a small womans wrist. I have seen several that looked like a hubcap... I just think it looks awkward. But hey, who am I to tell anyone what size watch to wear? If they feel ok about it... so be it.

This point is moot nowadays as watches aren’t worn for function, they’re worn as jewelry by 99.9% of people.

Exactly - and very well-stated. Who cares about " anyone else's opinions. "

To raise the degree of boomer patriarchy in this thread lets also discuss the age aspect: ‘Till what age a female homo sapiens is allowed to wear a timepiece with the case diameter of 36mm or higher w/o provoking social unrest?” Respondents are requested to indicate their age too

As long as you size the bracelet appropriately, that’s not an issue.

I see. So opinion is now “dogma”??? Nice. Does that apply to absolutely everything or only things you personally disagree with?

Absolutely - my wife wears my watches from time to time.
Need to get a shot of her with her CHNR. She did go w 36mm for the DD vs 40 - just seemed to big.
