Big congrats to your Papa!! Nice story and may he enjoy many years of great health with it on his wrist to make more memories! I really like that reference, doesn't get the spotlight it deserves in my opinion

Hats off to your dad! I tried one of these on a while back and I must say, the pics don't do this watch any favors but on the wrist it commands plenty of respect.

Retirement gift

That is a pretty cool looking watch. But are you saying that your Dad waited until he was 75 to retire? Because that is crazy talk. Congrats to him anyway.

Only PM they had was a 126655, which happens to be on a short list of my grails.

SA offers to pay tax after a few minutes of
trying it on. Looks like discounts can still be had on PM.

He and I talk it over on the side. I ask him if he really likes it. He is stunned by it. Told him no brainer then. Out the door for MSRP.
No prior history with this AD, as he got his BLNR from me.

Wear in good health,
You’re lucky not about the watch but the relationship with your dad
My son is 2, hopefully one day we can be super close too :)

Congrats to your dad! And agreed - out the door at MSRP is a great deal in today's market (assume most of us don't live in or can take delivery to a product in a zero sales tax state).

I'm jealous too! I almost bought it a couple years ago. I like that it has glide lock now though.

He is 75, and NOT retired yet. I'm urging him to think about it!

Again, warm thanks to all for the congrats. Neither him or I do social media, and when I read him all the comments, he was touched and a little surprised at all the responses. I am too.

Thanks everyone again!

Love the entire YM line (original YM, not the II so much...), but that one is a boss watch. There's just nothing about it to dislike. Perfection.

Pictures of this watch do it no justice whatsoever, I was completely underwhelmed by it until I saw it in the flesh and it blew me away!

Congratulations (for your Dad).
