New Sub (lots of pics)

Was passing a Grey Dealer, they had a Sub for sale. The SA was kind enough to let me try one on. Here is the new 41mm, next to my 116500.

The watch does look bigger than what most of us are used to, but it certainly is not "too big" - I got used to it in minutes! Personally, I do not have any pushing desire to get one, as I have the SD4000 and the classic 114060 Submariner. Nevertheless, its a beautiful piece, looks great and sits well on the wrist.

I went to the trunk show at the Boutique on Sept. 16 and got 2 new Sub. I love it very much. When i wear them, I don't feel any bigger than the previous Sub. at all.

I just don't see that big a difference from the 116610LN. The lugs are a little slimmer. The bottom of the face has a crown in the middle signifying the new movement.

Not crazy about the green bezel and black dial either. Don't hate it, but...hardly a breakthrough design...especially for Rolex.

The hype and FOMO aside, what's the big deal?

I need to try one on, I think it's going to be the perfect answer for the shape of my wrist. As of now my best feeling - fitting watch is my Polar EXP II.

OP - Just for reference, how big are your wrists? ( I hope that is not too personal!)

Thanks! I wear it snug, but use the easy link if/when the heat causes wrist expansion. I love the thing.

Thanks for the pix. I’m looking forward to seeing one for real.

Could you add some more wrist shots, though? I mean, only six?
