Omega anti-counterfeit engraving

With the help of macro mode, I can actually see what the engraving looks like on newer Omega models. This engraving is laser etched from what I've been told and it is located on the casebacks.

Did you also notice the red dot that is between the case back and the watch case? It is to show that the watch has not been opened yet.

Red dirt? Only if you played in the soils of Hawaii.

Good post, Vernon. I've always noted the tiny red seal dot on my previous OMEGAs, but never that etching. Fantastic shot and good info.

Cheers - JJ

Only newer Omega has it, my 2-year old Planet Ocean doesn't have etching in the back. Came from Omega AD, so I am sure it's real

Thanks. No wonder I never spotted it on my earlier PO.

Thanks, this is really good info. I am also happy to see legitimate companies beat the counterfitters. Thanks for the photos and alerting us--sharp eyes!
