Daylight pics of the Bluesy...

As promised I made a half-hearted attempt at taking some better images of my new beauty-bluesy today.

Here we go:

Her proper place:

Music listening place...

Thanks

In that last picture, did you put your watch ON a speaker grill?? Just wondering if you weren't worried about magnetizing the watch.

Hello Bayerische!!
Congrats for a great watch. It´s really a beauty.
I can very well understand your fascination with your Bluesy.
After wishing to own one myself for a long time, I finally took the plunge myself a couple of weeks ago. I feel that the deep cobalt blue and sunburst effect of its dial has no equal.

Here is my own 16613, transparent stickers still on when I took the picture.
Enjoy your beautiful TT Sub in good health friend!!
Very cordially, Abel

No it's not a grill.

The speaker looks like this:

So I had it on the top of it, which is some 10cm away from a small 1" tweeter. There's a 15" sub in the bottom of it, wouldn't want to go near that thing.

Thanks Bayerische!!
A 13 year old beauty it is!
Looks almost identical to mine.
Numbers on the bezel of my watch are golden, yours seem silver, may be the only difference I can detect in my M serial number 16613, which I bought brand new from the AD two weeks ago. I´m sure I´ll be still in love with it in 13 years from now!!
Enjoy your TT Sub!!
Very cordially, Abel

The numbers on the Bezel are gold, but I guess due to the camera and the age the gold is a bit "silverish" in it's color.

The color is gold in good light.

Thinking about changing it... How much are these?

Hello Bayerische! Thanks for explanation. Yes, it is sometimes very hard to get all details and true colors in a picture.

Changing your watch? Don´t think you will get much more in a new watch than what you got there!!
Anyway, never think about buying in Argentina. AD prices here get several thousands above levels in USA or Europe. This due to Euro or dollar rate exchange plus import taxes on luxury items applied.

Very cordially, Abel

No, just the bezel... Would like it to have a stronger gold color, as now it's clearly deteriorated, putting the watch at an angle the gold looks nice on the bezel, but looking straight at it it's almost white or silver with only the slightest of gold.

Hello Andreas!

Perhaps you just need to replace the bezel insert.
May I suggest you to check with your local Rolex service dept?
I guess this is an easy and not very expensive change, as they should replace only the insert, and not the entire bezel.

I got several vintage Rolex an love the patina and aged look of their dials and bezels.
I woudn´t replace the bezel of my old 1680 Sub, which I bought brand new in 1977, though it is well faded and has a very small hole on it.
You can see it standing by my bluesy, showing their 33 years of spread among them.

Anyway, tastes are tastes, and you may do whatever makes you happy. That´s the escence of watch love anyway!

Have a nice day, Very cordially, Abel

I'm wondering the same... Can't believe how slow Leica is at putting them out.
I still have my M8, but trading it as soon as the m9 is available off the shelves. The M leicas aren't so good at macro photography since there isn't really any lenses for that. Can't focus closer than 0.7 meters with most, except the visoflex solution.

Klassisk skämt här på andra sidan.

Tack för berömmet av bilderna!

Tror vi måste byta över till engelska så att ingen blir "misstänksam".
