Excellent choice! One of my daily wearers. Great weight on the wrist. I also ordered the deployant clasp. That clasp makes the watch perfect IMHO.
Be prepared to wait. I was told 15 weeks. After that period expired, I was told another 6. Still waiting.... |

Well, that photo is of my actual watch just arrived at AD, waiting to be shipped to me. I only waited couple of weeks from the date of order.

Regarding the strap, my understanding is that it is a custom piece that falls into a queue. I was quite surprised by the lead time. I figured they had a drawer of them and could supply it relatively quickly.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the watch. I was told that the clasp is available and should be here shortly and I was assured that it fits the existing strap perfectly. There are 2 choices: gold and platinum which look identical, so I chose gold. I am not sure if the difference in weight would matter.

Yup, that's the same one that I am getting but in platinum. Just taking a lot longer than anticipated.

For what it’s worth I had a 5990 and sold it. I found it to be a little bit odd, and neither here nor there. For work I preferred slimmer pieces and for travel I preferred my BLNR which is fine to get banged up. The 5990 was too bulky for the office, and too delicate for (my) travels.
Bear in mind I have small (6.6-6.75 inch) wrists so your mileage may vary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
