I've seen exactly 1 in the wild (back home here in Toronto) and it felt like a special occasion. It was at one of my regular lunch spots, 3 people down in line. I was giddy and threw him a quick compliment.

I personally don't care about the "ladies" marketing moniker, but I wish they had done it in WG or SS. My hangup right now is still that it might be too big for me.

Official Patek-Pilot Appreciation Thread

Who is betting on a SS sequel of the 5524G?
If this is coming, what would be the differentiation of the WG?

By the way:

The 5524, the 5235 and even the 5960g are not runaway Patek hits even with its scarcity. Not sure if it is the price point, the lack of versatility, too quirkiness that causing supply >= demand. This is also all too common for other brands. For me, as long as you like it and it put a big smile on your face (regardless of perceived value or criticism), that’s what really matters. Cheers!

Thank you Tyler. Yes it definitely has a great sunburst dial.
The RG color is really fantastic on this reference,(pleasantly surprised) for whatever reason it changes as well from a very light, almost WG, to a deep gold color, depending on lighting. I guess it’s the contrasts of the dial, strap, etc....

From what I know, it's reserved for vip collectors. Not so sure about it now. Maybe the hype has gone down a bit.

its not particularly easy to get but its not particularly popular now that there isnt really a premium. Personally i like it where it is. Obtainable (sort of as some still have issues getting one) but not completely insane like the nautilus where a high percentage of buyers just want to sell it. Being able to walk in and buy it is definitely not the norm.

Ive thought that the G will be harder to get going forward now that they are making the R, but that is just a guess. Seems like a lot of pilots to be making and they obviously are pushing the new one so you would think the majority would now be R.

congrats, its such a great watch. Im almost a year in with mine and im still not bored with it, and that is saying something
