My Local AD...

Decided to pop into my local ad which is Lux Bond and Green in West Hartford, CT to look at some pieces for a possible replacement for my matte dial 16800 that I might move. They had a great selection I thought. The salesman was very nice and we chatted for a while about all things watches. He even took out a 50th sea dweller for me the try on (already spoken for). It felt amazing. Also put on some stuff from Tudor which I really liked. Pics below, enjoy!!

Nice, but no comparison to the AD's here in Texas. Deepsea blue, BLNR, Hulk, etc are just sitting in the case.

I didn't get a chance to ask. Maybe check with their store in Boston. I can also email the guy and see.

Lux, Bond is a great AD - they are who I bought from in Boston - excellent customer service.

Already spoken for? Meaning that someone either placed a deposit, or paid for it already? Is that common that an AD would let a person try on a watch that was already committed to a Customer?

Not sure, they just got it in and they were in the process of contacting the next person in line

I'm probably in the minority, but I would not be happy if I were the one who was next on the list.

I always find it a bit awkward when an AD tries to get me to try on a watch that is already reserved/sold/ordered before the owner receives. Besides the new owners serial getting blasted across TRF in a pic
