Hard to choose, maybe the 5711 so one PP is on bracelet, but considering your spend I would ask for the 5740 too.

You should be getting both of those. I did not realize the ladies watch in question was 300k. Seriously you can easily find a patek AD that will deliver both 5711 and 5164 with that purchase attached. I would be seeking a nautilus pc.

Take both if you can.
The 5164 is a great casual weekend and travel watch. More functional and less conspicuous than the platona.
The 5711 will be a good match for your collection, never mind the solid resale values for 5711 (even disregarding the current idiotic bubble).

I’m a little late to this thread but I would have picked the 5711A and pressures him to give me the 5164A. You just spent 300K on your wife’s watch and I’m sure this hasn’t been the only purchase in the store either... Your loyalty is best rewarded with 2 steels.
