Been wearing this lately... It's a really nice watch. Shame they don't get much love.

Nope, the LE Liquid Metal Planet Ocean came on a bracelet. This is a really comfortable soft rubber deployant strap from Omega that I changed to (I think looks and feels better):

This watch is one of the best IMO. 2500 coaxial PO's fit much better proportionally than the thicker new variants......and did I mention the lume?

Were they still using the 2500 with the ceramic bezel?

I thought they changed movement when they changed the bezel...

Regardless, I agree the 2500 is very comfortable, particularly with the rubber- the bracelet really makes an anchor out of it.

They didn't.....just one limited edition.

https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-o...22230422001001

Also don't have a see through caseback to keep the thickness down. Very comfortable watch and IMO the best PO they ever made.

OK. After that limited edition, the rest got the new movement then I guess.

Either way, I prefer the look of the "old fashioned" aluminum insert to the ceramic. I do see the benefits however, as I've already replaced my bezel once...

Totally get it man. I think aluminum inserts got their charm to them too especially after they get marked up/aged a bit. It's interesting because I guess they couldn't risk releasing a LE too similarly...so the new liquidmetal/ceramic PO's are 39mm and 43mm....but this one is 42mm per their usual Seamaster sizing.

Once the PO 42mm went from the 2500 to the 8500 movement, the watch became too thick. The 39.5mm 8800 is 14mm thick but with it's smaller size, the proportions are different.

Just when you think the deals are gone...

Picked this 69 st straight text up for 1700 just last week with a service bracelet I sold for 500. I only have 7 or 8 early 70s speedmasters, so they aren’t my favs, but I had to buy this one from cl.
