I知 in trouble

Hey everyone, so I think I知 in trouble. I just realized how many amazing looking examples of vintage King and Grand Seikos there are for reasonable prices on eBay. Anything in particular I should watch out for? Thanks in advance. I think I知 about to be out a lot of money!!!

There are a lot of great vintage King and Grand Seikos out there, but there’s a lot of horrible junk, too. Study the dials and hands carefully for damage, make sure the applied SEIKO logo isn’t bent, make sure the lines and corners on the cases are sharp but not polished, especially on the GoD-heavy pieces (light scratches are fine and to be expected). Make sure the caseback, dial and movement calibre all tally, and check that the gold medallion is in good shape and genuine if there is one. Avoid Korean sellers as they tend to overpolish and refinish everything. Most of all, do your homework; there’s a sticky thread at the top of this page with some references and links. Find a model you like and hunt down the best example. Good luck!

No problem Sean. Feel free to PM me a link to any pieces you want a second opinion on.

The eBay rabbit hole is real. I just purchased two King Seiko痴 on eBay. One from South Korea ...polished! And one from Japan not polished. But both are pretty awesome. Good luck. Adam helped me on my vintage seiko quest also. Good man.
