help identify MB

Good evening.

I was wondering if I would be able to get some assistance. I received this pen as a gift today. Does anybody know what type of montblanc it is and how I can verify if it is real?

Thank you in advance.

I can’t confirm from that pix.

Says “Mont Blanc” on the box.

There is no way to tell very much from that picture but unfortunately what we can see all screams fake.

First, the snow cap symbol next to the lettering is backwards, it should be a white six rounded point snow cap with an outer black circle.

The way to determine if it is real is to take it to a Montblanc Boutique (not simply a Montblanc retailer) and have them send the item back to the factory for verification.

The bubble top looks like a Starwalker, and the screw-together body a fountain pen or rollerball. I'm not used to seeing that color, unless it's sterling silver.

If relying on the box it is not genuine. If it came from China, beware. They are counterfeiting MBs at a startling pace.
