Trade for a 5960 WG?

Hi fellas,

Would you trade a Rolex Full RG GMT CHNR and a Hulk plus some cash for a Patek 5960 WG Blue Dial

Really liking the look of the 5960, but some concerns:

- Can I wear it everyday?
- For owners of 5960, has anyone had their unit serviced? How long did it take and how much did it cost?

https://www.patek.com/en/collection/...s/5960-01G-001

Thanks in advance!

I wear mine daily. Great watch. Only you can decide if that trade makes sense for you.

How much cash? Figure your at around $45-48k in current value on your watches. Do you have another stainless or bracelet watch still in the collection? I found that I would wear my Sub or GMT when working or where a fancy watch would be at risk. Planning on a 5146 or ALS in the near future and will be selling a few from the collection. Will be keeping a SS diver or GMT in the rotation.

Just something to consider.

I wouldn't, not for this reference, the looks of it do nothing for me.

I don't like the looks of it either. There is 5070 for sale on this website.

If you’re a fan of the 5960 the trade sounds fair.
Patek has a basic menu of servicing charges , a complication might start at around 2k but it might be less. I forget exactly.

ty for replies. i am getting it at pretty good discount. I don't like the 5960 SS on bracelet, but the WG blue dial on brown strap looks nice. not sure why it's not more popular, and maybe there's a good reason why

Service was $2K and about 6 months. I prefer Platinum gray dial but the WG great as well. Love this model.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't do this trade. And I like all the watches you mentioned.

For me, I prefer variety over a single piece. But that's just my bias.

Had a 5960P. Okay piece but wouldn’t trade for a one and only.

Is it any less popular than any other Patek that isn't a Nautilus (or an Aquanaut)? It's been produced for a long time in a lot of iterations.
