How do I add an attachment to a post?

I'm trying to add an image as an attachment to a post but the system keeps telling me the dimensions of the image file are too large when they aren't. Help?

Its very easy just scroll down the page under the reply box to Additional Options/click manage attachments/make sure file is bmp gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png wmv zip/choose file from your device/and correct file size/upload and attach.
