No disrespect intended, but isn't that a Datejust II and not the new Datejust 41?

Apparently you are correct, my apologies. It is a DJII 41. 116300.
I am trying to get clarification on the difference so perhaps you can enlighten me. I see pics of the “41” and it seems identical. I understand the movement and reserve are different but am curious as to what else. Thank you for the clarification.

If you compare your picture to the one directly above it you will see the indices on yours are thicker. Also, the general proportions are slightly exaggerated over those of the DJ 36 and the newer DJ 41 (ie thicker bezel...).

Thank You for this post...I often wonder what I would do with this exact combo should the jubilee bracelet wear out.

Looked gorgeous on the strap...I’d bet it would look even better on an exotic strap.

Cheers!

DJ 41 white stick dial on Oyster

Just picked up this DJ 41.
The bracelet was sized but I have not yet removed the stickers.
I chose the Oyster over the Jubilee since the DJ 41 Jubilee bracelet does not have the hidden clasp.
I prefer the Jubilee with the hidden clasp on the DJ 36 models.
IMHO the all steel/polished bezel DJ 41 is the best deal of the current Rolex offerings.

I always thought the DJ was for older people - I was wrong (or I got older myself).
My favourite colour was blue but then a good deal came up on a Rhodium dial, I went with that and haven’t looked back since!

Very happy with my choice!

Funny that you mention this.
I was at the AD a few days ago and I asked to see the Datejusts. After looking at them, the salesman said he was surprised someone my age didn't want to see the Submariners.
When I told him I was 39, he said he thought I was in my early twenties.
I guess age does play a role.

I sold my datejust II to get this and I prefer this model much more. Super comfortable, perfect proportions.
I tried it on croc leather too but switched back very soon

I am wearing my new Datejust 41, Jubilee bracelet, rhodium dial, more than my gold Daytona. The shame of it.

New DJ41 Owner: Couple Questions

I'm a new forum member and a new DJ41 owner (smooth bezel, jubilee, rhodium). I have pretty simple tastes (more likely to drive a tractor than a sports car) and am drawn to Rolex not for its bling or social status, but for its rugged build and amazing engineering. The 41 hit all the right notes for me, at least in the configuration I bought.

Two questions though:

--Is the jubilee bracelet made from the same 904L that the watch is? Or does it utilized 316 instead?

--I've seen elsewhere on this forum (long time lurker) that the DJ41 actually measures more like 38/39. In the end I don't really care; I just like the watch. Still, I'm perplexed why Rolex would deliberately misname it. (I'm reasonably certain that EVERYTHING Rolex does is quite deliberate.)
