The Explorer will wear very similar to the DJ in your photo. As for the GMT, well its a maxi case, but having the jubilee may help, but I reckon you need to get them tried on your wrist. I expect a 5 digit GMT would fit you better. Good luck.

The point that I am making is that we are online, not in the store, we know absolutely nothing about you, whether you are tall, short, large, small, long limbed, short limbed, your style, what you like or dislike, how do you wear your watches loose or fitted, etc. etc. etc.

Take someone with you whose opinion you value but ultimately it is you who must choose.

If you want my 10c of opinion the watch is too big based on the images that you have posted, but you may love it, so what's an opinion?

I have the same watch (albeit on oyster), but I kind of dig this look. To be fair I like the NATO/dress watch look in general, but I appreciate that this brings a new dimension to the DJ41.

Thank you. I agree that judging from a wristshot is very difficult. I personally think the watch is too big for me so I will pass for now. Appreciate the input

I have been thinking about getting a white dial Datejust 41 and put it on a dark brown leather strap. I love that look on older Datejust references! Unfortunately, the older vintage references look (too) tiny on my wrist. Syed117's pics where actually one of the very few I could find where people put a Datejust 41 on a leather strap. Thanks for posting!

What struck me at Syed117 pics is that the holes in the lugs for the spring bars seem to be located very much towards the circular part of the case. Which means the lugs seem to "extend" quite a bit from where the strap wraps around the wrist. To be honest, that doesn't look good at all (even though I love the combination in general). May be its due to the strap being a bit thin or some other reason. Any other Datejust 41 owners with pics of their watch on a leather strap? Highly appreciated!

Datejust 126334 blue dial

Question

Would you go for 36mm or 41mm ? I am 5'7'' so not a big wrist but it looks a little on the smaller side for 36mm or perhaps I am just not used to it since I have always wore watches in the 40's

What do you guys think?

Thank you!

You could pull off either. The 36 is more understated whereas 41 would have more presence. Smooth or oyster?

I’m an inch shorter than you. And this is the 41
