Day/Date wheel ?

Over the last 18 months looking at 4 digit DD's, it's apparent that 85% have wheel's in English. WHY ? Was the English speaking demographic Rolex's largest market ?

Compliments of Powerfunk, there are 26 different language wheels. Where are all the others ?

What's the source on the 85% figure? I have a bunch of cool foreign language day wheels in my collection.

Love the variety of DD languages. Fascinating.

The English leaning is probably the same reason that most of the Internet is in English - even if you're not a native speaker, you probably have some knowledge of the basics.

I'd struggle with a day disc in Arabic, for example, but someone from that part of the world would probably manage with an English disc.

There is no source, just my observations. What I tend to see is maybe 1 Spanish for every 10 English. Even when I'm searching overseas the English wheels are dominant.

I have recently seen a Dutch, Japan, Hebrew, Chinese.

Curious, what un-common wheels do you have ?

Thanks Chris

Zapokee : Like you I love the variations, wish there were more of them.
