Wait time for watches from AD's
I'm just trying to get a feeling for wait times for new Rolexs from AD's in the last 6 months. Whether its back to normal yet or not. I've been waiting almost 5 months now for a YM-40 and I'm getting a little impatient. Does anyone have any insight into whether Rolex is back to full production or not. Has anyone waited longer than normal in the last few months for watches that aren't unicorns? Thanks.

I spoke to my AD back in late Sept and was told they were getting 2 LVs in before the end of the year and my name was on the 2nd. In middle Dec I got a disappointing call stating rolex sent them a letter saying that mine wouldn't make it by then. Needless to say to waiting.

4 months + now on an OP41 in Bright Blue that I have a 20% deposit. Wait times are higher because of COVID, lower productions, etc. especially for anything popular. Your two options are to wait or go grey.

on 5-Jan I decided I wanted a DJ41 Blue Dial Fluted on Oyster. I called 6 AD's in my metropolitan area and no one had one. on 6-Jan one AD called me back and offered it to me. I bought it on 7-Jan. Yesterday, 19-Jan, another AD called me back and offered me the watch before it hit the case. I passed and explained I already purchased it. That is my experience. I requested a Polar from the AD whom I purchased the DJ41 from. It seems the received a new shipment but only a black ExII arrived.

My target was DJ41 white dial, fluted with jubilee. I whatsapp the local AD, he said there is stock and in the next morning I got one. It was no waiting time for my case, probably because this model is not that popular.

Top of the list at my AD for a 36 OP silver since the day they were announced in September. They've only had one 36 OP come in since launch

Wait time for watches from AD's
Everyone has a different experience due to a wide variety of factors including AD relationship, location, size of AD, etc. What is true for some may not be so for you.

A little over a year for a Pepsi. Granted my SA was promoted who sold me an Explorer and Hulk and my account was passed on to another SA. Who knows if I will even get the Pepsi at this point....

If you go into the AD and buy overpriced jewellery and watches you don’t want totally about $50k they will get you the YM. ( people on here call it building a relationship)

I don't know about that. I connected with a distant (next state over) AD this past summer and bought a Datejust I had been seeking from them. When I contacted them a few weeks ago, they had a Yachtmaster two-tone in stock that I was able to buy from them without any additional "unwanted" purchase history. Perhaps the two-tone is less popular, but I didn't have to buy other stuff beyond my DJ41 to get the Yachtie.

All they knew is they would be getting 3 more and I would get the first. I am going to call her Friday and follow up with timeliness. I was so disappointed that I didn't even have questions at that time.

Crazy start to 2021....Purchased a date just 31 domed bezel for wifey December 2020. First purchase from AD. Got the call last weekend for the 126710BLRO Pepsi. I thought I was going to wait years. I almost wanted to ask “why me?”. Still can’t believe it.

How does it compare to the Sub 41? Any side by side pics showing the case sizes?

I’ve been waiting 5 years for a steel Daytona. Meanwhile, they accommodated me with a two tone and WG OF Daytona. Lol.

I’m 4 months waiting for a 116509 (panda) with a 10% deposit. I text my SA every 3 weeks. No updates other than “be patient”. While waiting I was offered a blue dial and a black dial 116508. Passed on both.

I’m on lists for about 7 watches currently. The only one I have a concrete update is that I am next on the list for a 122610LV. I have been next on the list (which I truly am) since Dec 15th and he said “Q1” is my timeline haha.
Most other watches have been quoted to me as around a year or slightly less wait like the Pepsi, Skydweller, 2021 releases, etc. and that’s with a pretty high annual spend. My AD said anyone outside of the 10 “VIP list” LV’s they allocated for customers this fall likely won’t get one for 2-3 years based on demand. He has been spot on with his timing estimates in the years I know him, so hopefully situation is better for others and their AD’s! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
