“Frosted” 114060 clasp

I have owned a few of these, but never saw one with a clasp like this, example is from 2015, thoughts?

Normal, and on many other models also....no need for concern.

Hmm one other issue, never seen a bracelet loose like this, could it be the springs? See the gap? It’s shakes a bit too, never had a Rolex with play like that. Other side is tight as expected

Yep just gotta find a spring bar, the one side is worn out it seems. Funny I have been looking for a watch with a particular serial and this one has it, crazy how that worked out

Rolex did these kind of Clasp until June 2015 and then replaced it with the polished.

I have a 116610LN from 2012 with the same finish to the clasp... nothing unusual for me there.

I had some questions about the two clasps a few years ago as well. My January 2016 Sub has the frosted one. So it was really a 2015 and back then could have been sitting in the case for some time since not everyone and their great grandmothers wanted to hoard Rolex watches.

it is legit as others have said. mine has it well. it was produced from 2012 to 2015. the 2016 production models switched to the polished interior.

i doubt it ever becomes a collector sought thing. but who really knows.

Could be an issue with the spring bar, whether it be bent or a non-oem spring bar of an incorrect thickness. For example: Everest straps come with 20mm spring bars that are thinner than Rolex OEM spring bars so the strap isn't jammed up against the bezel. This could be an example of a former owner who unknowingly placed a 20mm spring bar of incorrect thickness on the piece while swapping back to the oyster.

Are both end links gapped/loose? Or just this one?

This thread is actually far more interesting than I expected. I always had assumed the newer 6 digit clasps were all the same.

This actually is enlightening as I was always confused about the warranty card with my watch stating date of purchase 2018 with a 2 year warranty. Now that I read the differences in the clasp I never realized before I can surmise my watch was serviced at that time and is really from before 2015ish since there isn’t a really easy way to date 6 digits.

I ordered a sub bracelet from my AD when I bought my GMT LN. This was at the time when the polished clasps had just become the standard going forward.
The bracelet when it arrived sealed in its factory packaging was of the frosted variety. I guess Rolex were still rolling old stock at the time but I’m happy with it.
