Advice on 5513 gilt
Hi guys,
For a very long time, I've wanted a 5513 Gilt or a 1680 Red. But the gilt atm is my favorite, and I've been on the lookout for a while-I don't know if I'' in the market yet (I'm still a medical student with not that much in my savings) But I came across this posting http://www.network54.com/Forum/20767...+Yellow+Patina I really really like this-but I'd like to know what flaws you experts can see. In the event I buy it, it'll be my first rolex (and only new watch) for several years I almost pulled the trigger in 2011 when prices were far more reasonable for better quality watches. But the prices have really skyrockeed |

Oh, and does the crazing/spotting on glossy gilts continue forever? Aka, in 30 years, will the dial just kinda fall apart? Or was the crazing something that happened in early years, when the watch was new, but has stopped (like the black to tropical transition)

Looks pretty nice at a fair price considering todays market. The spotting affects the gloss but it does still look pretty. No one knows what will happen with the spotting but on the other hand; no one knows how perfect examples will develop as well. Case looks nice.
Kirill describes it well. I'd check if the hands glows the same as the dial. Very common they are changed. Good luck! |

@Beepos
Ahhhh, wouldn't it be nice to roll back the clock to 2011 prices!!!??? Regarding Kirill's watch FS, it seems very well described and its pros and cons are well documented both in text and image(s). To my eye the Sub's wear seems commensurate with its age, and it's an honest watch. ___________ Instagram: @onthedial |

Advice on 5513 gilt
Kirill is a solid guy. Watch seems to be priced fairly for today's market. Nice looking piece. Hard to find these with the original parts these days.
