Window shopping

This has to be the most SS sports pieces I’ve seen in any UK Rolex AD window in a while.

Rolex is an aspirational product, and they have a long-term strategy. Working class aspire to own a Rolex.

Pretty much what you’d see here as well but just not the popular ones.

Some would even argue that the traditional idea of a working class doesn’t exist. Is there actually any statistical evidence that the ‘working class’ aspire to own a Rolex?

OP can you say where that was? It’s a good selection actually.

The prices are displayed and look like MSRP to me. In the UK I’ve never heard otherwise. Can ADs sell for more than MSRP in the US?

That's the best UK window display I've seen this year for SS models. Which is saying something :(

That looks like Mappin & Webb in Bluewater, Kent.

Walked past the store window myself this evening and thought they had a surprisingly full window display with a few models I wouldn’t have expected to be in stock.

The best I've seen so far this year in the UK in any one AD display was:

Bluesy Submariner
Black Bezel GMT
Explorer 1
Milgauss

Probably cause it’s a TT Daytona.

In order for this post to be considered for forum acceptance, you will need to provide undeniable and specific documentation (proof) of the existence of this Rolex strategy you mentioned.

The general opinion these days is that Rolex is not implementing a strategy in any way, but rather the intensely hot global economy is simply outpacing the production and distribution of SS Sports references, so any mention of a "strategy" will be challenged.

Why? A TT Daytona isn’t exactly the hottest Rolex model around?
Also the prices on display reflects the recent price increase in 1st October.
