The rear side of factory diamond dial
Hello
How can I verify whether the diamond is factory original or not. I heard that I can verify it by checking the rear side of the dial. So can you show me the picture of the rear side of the factory diamond dial ? * In the picture, the diamonds are single cut and there is no lume on the dial and hands. Thanks.. |

The one you showed isn’t an original Rolex diamond dial. The diamonds are never part of the chapter ring. They are either set inside it, or if set at the perimeter then Rolex skips printing the hash marks.
The backside means nothing because the diamond are surface set. A fake diamond dial can be made on a genuine plate that has been harvested from another watch. Some examples.

Not so , Rolex have made DJ dials diamond set with 2 hash for the 16233 and 116233 with the newer settings , mid 2000s. And if you bother to inspect the backside of a modern Rolex dial the settings can be unscrewed , rather than afterset dials that are soldered in place;-)

Considering my wife bought me the date with diamonds, I’d like very much to know how you two settle this discussion, above.
ARE the genuine Rolex diamonds screwed in from behind, or are they applied to the front only? (OR, as with most things, “it depends… “).
