If anyone could offer assistance on identifying this watch it would be appreciated. Have a couple watches from my dad, most have now been in for repairs at more than the watch costs but hey they were dads and I want to keep them in good shape.

This watch I have found some stuff online. I believe it was a series made for Canada back in the days. Any additional information or correct that which I have found would be greatly appreciated.

The only reference I am aware of that was made specifically for the Canadian market was the Rolex Oyster Royal, this may in fact be a variant of that watch but looks nothing like mine… What are the numbers in between the lugs on the 12 and 6 o’clock sides?

I’m guessing it’s a reference 4220 from the early to mid 1940’s.
I have one that was a WW2 POW watch. Quite small for men by today’s standards; but a great piece for a young person or ladies. I actually wear mine occasionally (military holidays mostly) on a Bund Strap to give it more “wrist presence”. Cool watch OP.

somehow it does not look like 4220 to me. can we see more photos of the watch - back of the case, between the lugs (both sides). If you can open it and take pictures of the movement and the case back that would help a lot.
