6075 Dauphine Hands

Hoping someone can help. I have a 1950 6075 DateJust with gold dauphine hands. Does anyone know if these are actual gold or just gold plated?

I would bet 100 gold.

At least on my 6305 from 1955 they are surely 18k.

Thanks for that. I’m almost certain they are too since they haven’t corroded at all whereas plated steel likely would.

No expert, but that's my thinking...!

just out of curiousity, does it make any difference what so ever - as long as hands are original to the watch, gold (.2 grams) or gold plate (.02 grams) really does not make any difference

It’s mostly just out of curiosity that I asked anyway, all just part of educating myself. However I do have a slight ulterior motive in that the hour hand has been kinked slightly upwards (presumably by some less than patient watchmaker at some time in its life) to seemingly clear the raised Crown on the dial.

I’m contemplating if it’s worth trying to flatten the kink, and if gold rather than plated then that would be a lot easier to do. However I stress contemplating and likely most will say leave well alone which might be best anyway.
