Trying to date a vintage Oyster Royal
Hi folks,
I'm a recently joined member, I came across the forum whilst trying to solve a mystery. I recently acquired an Oyster Royal and am at a loss to date it. The case shape seems to be different to any others I've seen online. While I love watches, I'm far from expert and am coming to dead ends online when trying to figure out the model of the Royal. So I'm hoping some more experienced/knowledgeable folk may be able to point me in the right direction. I've attached two images, hopefully they upload ok. Thanks in advance for any help or tips offered. |

Sorry, it is a re-cased movement!
Original Rolex Oyster movement dial and hands, but housed in a non-Rolex 9ct gold cushion shaped case. |

Thanks Mike, unfortunately your response is as I suspected. I could not find a similar case style online. Would you happen to know how I can date the movement?
