Great grandpas oyster perpetual
I wanted to know if anybody can help me identify the reference of this watch. All I know is that it was from 1959 because giovanni passalacqua opened the watch when he fixed my wife’s 1970s datejust that she inherited from her grand father. The only thing I know is that great grandfather replaced the original steel bracelet with this weird oem, bracelet. He did such a great job on the DJ, we will take the oyster perpetual in for repair soon. Thinking about putting a black leather strap on it, thoughts?

The reference number should be between the lugs. Take the bracelet off, and if the bracelet hasn't worn the numbers down, they should be there. I like that bracelet, actually. It's a tad bit small, but kinda cool. Nice watch. Cherish it.
