116710 Problems

After working flawlessly for a year since purchased used, my GMT decided to crap out on me. When setting the hours in position 2, it doesn't "click" as much as it used to. The hour hand almost spins freely like when setting minutes in pos.3. Also, after setting hours in pos 2 and then pressing crown in to pos 1, the hour hand will sometimes jump backwards a couple hours. I'm going to send it in, just wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem. I'm really bummed about it.

That was a common problem in the beginning with these newer GMT movements. Rolex would take care of that under warranty, but since you've bought yours used, I'm afraid you'll have to pay for it.

Thanks Vanessa. Is there a long term fix for it, or should I plan for it to happen again in a few years?

The problem was inside the GMT wheel I believe, the GMT wheels that now go into these movements should not have/develop this problem.
