Still funny to think in under three years I went from this

To this

And yet the custom still holds a fond memory for me, I do have this one which is my favourite diver to keep me company

An SD4K with matte bezel would be sweeeeet!

That's almost worth trying to find a beat-up SD4K just to modify.

Wow, three year old thread!!! Looks great; it's a major improvement. I find it much more attractive than the standard Neon blinking insert!!!

I don't see the SD4K needing the treatment as the minute markers break up the shiny surface reducing the glare.

That is my choice; SD4K

There is still a slight satin vs matte look even with the SDc

This is an older thread but some great info and pics of the matte Sub 114060 bezel insert.

I've searched for photos of lug-thinning results but can't find any - it was mentioned that there was a thread on it somewhere...

Realize mods aren't everyone's cup of tea, but hopefully someone can point me to some resources on the subject. I know LAWW does this, and likely others as well and am curios about the prospect.

Thanks

I really like it, I have been modifying a less expensive watch this being my Tissot seastar, good on you for being brave to experiment

Very cool! It looks very similar to the new titanium yacht-master 42 (226627)!
