I have an 8.5 inch wrist so for me a 40mm looks more like an old school 36mm datejust. The SD43 has it all.

Out of them the SD43 ranks the lowest in my shopping list. It's size is too big as a daily wearer and the dial is too boring as a weekend watch.

If next year there will be a new sub then the sd43 will drop further in my list

Interesting list. My take would be:
1) Too expensive but tempting. However I don’t need another chrono (Navi).
2) Too expensive, but when the SS is available, we’ll talk
3) Too expensive (see a trend?) and bezel doesn’t work for me.
4) Green doesn’t work for me.
5) Way too think for my wrist.
6) VERY nice. Had one for two years, just sold it.
7) Just bought one.

I have toyed with the idea of swapping my SD43 for the new SS 126710 BLRO Pepsi. Since I'd probably regret it, I'll try to keep the SD43. It feels special, uncommon and I like everything about it. It fixes the "issues" I had with the Sub.

I am not privy to the information you are after so why are you asking me such a stupid question

The OP has allegedly bought it once so they will be able to do so again. It will just take some time.
I will add that i graciously turned the watch(pre Basel model) down after being offered it about a month ago.
People are picking them up much more regularly at the moment and supply seems to be improving in general.

You said the SD43 will be “Reasonably easy to re-acquire”. So I asked you to authenticate your claim by pointing me in the right direction as to which AD has it available? It’s not a stupid question. I am just following your logic. You can turn down any model you like but mocking demand and supply is an insult to economics which has been the driving force behind these sport models.

Some folks just don’t have the wrist for the SD43. Can’t hate a fella’s choice because of what nature gave him to work with. Wear what you love. I can wear a 40 or a 43 (though wife said the the 40s looked puny on my wrist).

These were my choices on the day of purchase (BLNR was my original #1...until I saw / wore each, then it was no contest)

The Deep Sea, Sea Dweller & Omegas Planet Ocean are true technical marvels but for wearing, are just too heavy and tall for my wrist.

Unless you have a massive wrist or are buying for their diving capability, they fufil too narrow and niche watch ability for myself, personally.
