Great photo of the collection, such incredible watches!!!

Also kinda reminds me of the “don’t ask me how I took this photo” thread on reddit from a while ago

For me if you were to add the 15407ST the ROC and RO would be redundant.

Have you not considered the 15407OR?

Will say out of all the SS (white metals for that matter) the 15407ST is the best openworked RO IMO, where as in RG it has to be the 26518OR

Interesting...have you tried the 26518 on? It’s stunning, but I actually think there is too much open space in the dial and prefer it off the wrist.

Yes and I found the 26518ST too monochrome and the movement was lost against the case.

The YG 26513BA on the other has the slate grey openworked movement so does contrast better against the case.

but the PG 26518OR with the slate grey and pink gold openworked movement looks the best of the bunch, and think it does shadow the 15407OR

I agree about the monochrome appearance, good point. It’s not like I was in the market for it when I tried it on, but I quickly realized that I didn’t like seeing my arm through the movement. Personal preference - but amazing movement.

Actually that’s a point I’ve not considered!

Looking back at this pic and the open void at 9 doesn’t look right.

I’m not a fan of RG in general as I find it doesn’t suit me but I can still admire them, must say my preference is the 15407st but you can’t go wrong with the OR.

It’s so subjective...I, too, admire many watches that I myself would not wear. I happen to be partial to PM. I will say, though, I kick myself daily for passing on a 15407st.

Even though I prefer PM, I’ve never desired SS until I saw this watch. It’s definitely special. It would look good in any collection. Question is...is it special enough to pay a premium to get it now? I don’t think there’s a wrong answer, though I know people may have different opinions.

that’s my only issue... getting on list and waiting is a joke here in the states... even as an AP fan... I’ve bought most of my watches thru either AD’s or Grey brokers... therefore for me Boutique is basically a mob... buy $100K worth of watches that are lame and then we put you on the list... ...

now... I can afford the premium... but .. is it worth the premium!??? or is it worth the hassle and kissing a.... to all the boutiques and waiting 1-2 yrs... I’m lost there... I feel that no matter how rare our “holy grails” are... once we have them they are no longer that special... does that chain of thought apply to the 15407 or is it that special!!!????

You may likely be met with a few laughs trying to get on a list here. The only question that I keep encountering is knowing I could have paid retail. Maybe it shouldn’t matter in the long run, still just bothers me a bit. Speaking to how special the 15407 is, I can only speak for myself. It is special. Hands down one of the most gorgeous watches I’ve ever laid eyes on. To give you a little insight...during my first year of ownership, APSC or Le Brassus had the watch for 9 months and I would do it all over again.

I’m thinking this is what I’m going to do for now... lol...

1. Keep the RG 44 Ceramic... my favorite, my baller piece! lol...
2. Keep the Rolex SD43... perfect beater during the week
3. Keep the 41 RG on Strap. I can sell the bracelet, besides I actually like it more on the blue strap.
4. Buy a 26331st Blue, I like my 15400 but feel after looking at some Benlee789’s pics on IG I fell in love with it, I like it better than the blue 15400. I can always keep my Black 15400.

This would be my collection, and after selling my 44ti and the RG bracelet of the 41ROC I would have some funds to fund either a 15407st or something new without pissing off the wife...

I think this is a great choice! I'd even go as far as saying you could just get the 15407 instead of the 26331 blue since you already have the rose gold, but it sounds like you really like this one and I can definitely see space in your collection for both. But out of the options that you've posted I think this is the best 👍🏻
