Servicing questions

Hello all! Long time lurker here. I’m proud to say I have recently picked up my very first AP, a ROO diver. Absolutely love it and has occupied my wrist ever since I got it. I picked it up used with service papers dated 2013. I’m unfamiliar with APs service guidelines, it seems people say every 3 years for service, is that accurate? Obviously my watch’s last service has been 5 years ago, despite it keeping good time, I’ve been looking into sending it in for a service and polish. The AP website didn’t seem to give me much info on how to do so. I am about 200 miles from an AP dealer so I can’t drop it off at an AD, do I simply call the Clearwater service center and make arrangements to ship the watch? What is the average turn around time for a service? Thanks for the info.

If it’s keeping time well (as in less than +10 s/d) then it’s fine for a while yet.

Call Clearwater and they’ll send you a kit.

Called Clearwater, they said to take a picture of the front and back of the watch and to email to them and they will respond with how to send the watch in.

Is this standard procedure for them? My watch is out of warranty of that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Sounds fine -- also likely prevents them from getting a bogus watch
