Heathrow Airport - Datejust 41 "Wimbledon"

The Rolex shop at the Heathrow Airport made my day with a nice, and totaly unexpected watch.

When I'm there I always ask about sportmodels in steel, sometimes they have one becouse it's one of the Rolex stores they dont have waiting lists. So, what comes in is for sale, like in the good old days.

And, what a surprise they offered me today (could be one of the first, for them for sure) the brand new Basel 2018 Datejus 41 - 126334 "Wimbledon" with the White Gold (never thought about White Gold) Bacel.

Bought it and did some Research, no, really no picture of the watch on goolgle, can't believe, also no watch on the gray market, strange, and not in the official catalouge.

But OK, so this is my first DJ in a really nice combination with the green letters, called "the Wimbledon".

Hope you enjoy the Pictures and the watch as I do...

.

Nice watch.

Some remarks:
- Here's one from the grey market , on the web : Chrono 24 , 126334 Slate Roman dial
- "Wimbledon" isn't its name, at least not at Rolex
- I think this particular dial was available before Basel this year, and not disclosed there.

Have fun with it, DJ 41 is an excellent choice.

I guess I was wrong about it being a SS Sky-D.

But is this watch rare?

Have heard this referred to as the "Wimbledon" and as a new Bazel release a few times recently, not sure where this bad info is coming from.

Paid RRP for it then? I really like the green around the numerals.

I've only ever seen this dial on the TT 41 so this is a nice pick up but how come you paid retail at the Duty Free? I would have assume you saved or you had to declare it when you landed?
Either way enjoy.
