Incoming....sweet hookup

Got a call and a text from my AD last week regarding a piece that was allocated, but the buyer backed out. I was a bit apprehensive about the size and told him a much. My plan was to come see him this week to check fitment as I had potential plans to be in his area (they are a flight away from me). My plans changed and couldn't make it there. I talked to this guy on the phone for a bit yesterday and he decided that since I have a paid in full deposit on a Daytona C and my number won't come up until likely the end of the year he agreed to just ship me the watch and if I want to keep it they will apply my Daytona deposit to this, keep my slot for the Daytona and I can send him a check at my convenience. He FedEx'd it yesterday and this morning I have this bad daddy. That's pretty sweet.

That was good service indeed. They also removed the dive extension. I am happy with these guys.

What is maddening is I have an AD about an hour from where I live. I have bought 3 or 4 watches from them and they still don't take me seriously. My current guy is in TX (I'm in GA) and he really tries to take care of me.

Thanks.

I’m in GA as well and my AD is in NC. The GA Ads play some silly games these days.

Happy ending to that story. Hope you enjoy the SD43 as much as I do. I wore my SD43 as a daily all week under a sleeve. It's no big deal from a size perspective.

Congrats! The AD going above and beyond to take care of you. It would have cost him nothing. Even if you decided you didn't want it and sent it back, he could mark it up above retail as pre-owned. Glad to see the days when ADs appreciate us as customers, and treat us like friends, are not completely gone.

Sweet pick-up! Obviously you're a trusted customer -- it would be dangerous to have such a good AD close by
