Messners Everest Oysterquartz

Period Oysterquartz advertising often called attention to Reinhold Messner and his Oysterquartz assisted 1978 Oxygen free climb of Everest. Early ads in the series clearly show a 17000 on his wrist. Later ads in the series go off the rails display 17013 and 17014 models. Neither of which make sense in that application. Does anyone here know any real info on Messners watch? Which oysterquartz is the real second Everest watch. My favorite in the series featured Hillary and Messner in period gear along with Hillary’s explorer and the 17000.
