Possible 5167 winding issues?

So, I've had my 5167 for just over a month now and i'm absolutely loving it! I just let the power reserve run out and thats when i noticed manual winding seems a bit odd. When i unscrew the crown i seem to have to spin the crown a couple times in the 12 o'clock potion before it catches and starts to wind. Normally i wind by spinning the crown in a 12 to 6 o'clock motion, but in this case as soon as you turn the crown in the 6 o'clock position the crown feels like it's free floating and you can spin it 3-7 times in the 12 o'clock position before you feel it stop at the winding gears. Hopefully i wrote this in a way you guys can understand. Is this normal with the 324 movement? or has anyone heard of this before?

Thanks

Can't quite work out what you are referring to with 6 o clock and 12 o clock positions. Doesn't sound normal to be honest, my 324 movement engages the gears immediately.

slightly encrypted indeed,
may the crown became loose on the crownstem, anyhow you need to pull out the crown in winding position, and turn it from 6 to12 motion as you described and you must feel a slight counterforce if you don t it has a stem problem which has to be fixed by PP.

My aquanaut doesn't "catch" until about the 3rd wind or so.

My 5167 engages after about 1/4 turn, similar to my rolex.
