Although I do not have any pics of this, I like how all of the Vietnamese soldiers in "Tropic Thunder" were wearing Rolexes. I noticed a two tone DJ, Daytona, and 18k Sub

Yes it will be a multi diamond Y/G DD
Yes a huge thumbs up to Sir Jimmy Saville
Sir Jim has "personally" raised many hundreds of thousands £'s with all his marathon running.
And further more has been involved in raising millions of £'s more. All for charity.

This is an interesting thread. A couple of thoughts come to mind: one, I think we can see why Rolex has introduced the larger DJ-II, YM-II and the DSSD - it appears the 40 mm professional line has become unisex, and many men (like me) don't want a unisex watch. I like the historical photographs very much, because I believe the majority of those wearing the watches likely owned them, versus studio handouts from movie production sets. Finally, to who ever labeled Steve McQueen a "living legend", he is quite dead, sadly. This segues into my final comment, which is how much I enjoyed seeing the auto racing pictures of Hurley Haywood (who has won a handful of Rolexes over the years), Paul Newman, of course, and Steve McQueen, which is a reminder for everyone to rent the film LeMans, which was one of the three great auto racing movies (along with Winning and Grand Prix).

Last picture I saw he was wearing a Day-Date. I guess Rolex send him anything they or Clapton wants, on the (Rolex) house.

Yup. The big names who sign with Rolex get whatever they want. BTW, I saw Clapton wearing his GV on Hard Rock Calling. It was a pretty good show.

Assuming that this is true, Mike, I wonder what other services they provide. Do they send someone to his house to fit the bracelets, too?

Crown notwithstanding, is it just me or does it look like it might be an older — maybe '60s — Expy I. (Faded tritium dial, etc.)
