Tudor Black Bay impresssions
Hello all,
a fellow member asked me a few questions about the black bay and i ended up writing him a detailed first impressions of the BB. I thought i would post it here and let you guys add to it. Construction: definetly feels solid and surprisingly very well built in comparison to any Rolex. Bracelet: in comparison to older SUBs the bracelet feels much more solid but a little light comparison to a Milgauss. Size: This is my biggest concern for any one looking to buy the BB. it sit just a tad bit higher than a Milgauss therefore has a big wrist presence. The lugs make it look just a little boxy Dial: this is the most amazing part of the watch. Any shortcomings in the watch which there are not many to point the dial covers it. The attention to detail is next to none. The dial is the heart of this watch. Puts a smile on my face every time I look at it. Overall a very nice watch and sure to please if you don't mind the little bit thickness. |

It is a hefty watch but I agree it is still a keeper, even with my skinny wrists. I really like the reddish brown bezel.

I just changed my bracelet to the included zulu strap - I actually prefer a strap on this model, and I usually adore bracelets. I'm thinking of getting a bond NATO to go on it.

I think i looks big due to the height. I think Mike had posed the height of this watch in one of his threads and it was 13.8m compared to 12mm of a Sub

I really like how the glass is dome and it has the patina lume with a combination of red bezel, it looks very nice and it doesnt cost as much as the subs
