Like Tudors as much as me

Does anyone like Tudors as much as me.
At first I wasn’t really into Tudors but I have grown to like the Black Bay. I have the Red and the Bucherer (bronze) at the moment. I have my name down for a Harrods green and have an itch for a steel and gold. I also have other watches, 2x Rolex 3x Omega 2x Zenith. Am I collecting too many and am I going in the right direction?

I see a lot of questions like this but only you know if you have the right collection for you

if you are asking may be not

too many black bay derivatives maybe - but you are picking nice ones - I would add the harrods one if it was not such silly money on the aftermarket - self imposed rule on not paying above MSRP

I may not be the best person to advise as I have a red black bay already and added the GMT black bay on NATO yesterday - if you have a thing for black bays then you should definitely look at the GMT

Love my Pelagos. Super well made and the movement is superb (in house).

I am a huge Tudor fan. I believe that Tudor for me is what Rolex was 25 years ago before the prices went crazy. A solid watch with cool styling, a reliable movement and a consistent value. I currently own the Black Bay Bronze, Black Bay Blue, Heritage Chrono Blue, Pelagos Blue, Pelagos LHD and I have the Black Bay GMT on order and will probably also buy the TT Black Bay with the champagne dial once I see it in person. I still have 3 Rolex watches and examples from IWC, Omega and Seiko but the Tudor is my go to watch.

I tried on the BB steel yesterday and was really impressed. I owned a BBB and regret selling it. Tudor is an amazing brand and a great value!

Yeah, now days, when someone asks me if I’m wearing a Rolex, I almost prefer being able to say “Nope.” I no longer own any Rolex watches, but I do still like 5-digit and older models.

If I’m being honest, I’m not a fan of Tudors in general...most of the models I tend to see have similar watches being made by Rolex, which makes sense so I’d prefer to have the Rolex. That is not to say I don’t appreciate the market for Tudor, I do...I just don’t enjoy them myself.

Love that blue Pelagos. Was close to getting it but chose the Black Bay to slot in between my SD43 and DJII size-wise. Love that Pelagos lume bezel. Agree with so many folks that say Tudor has the basic tool watch feel and price that Rolex used to have before they want totally for the upscale market.

I too like the blue Pelagos but already have blue in my collection.
I suppose I’m asking, can I own too many black bays?

Nope they’re awful and made of cheese, nothing to see here, move along!

That’s how I feel when I see these threads, just makes me worried the whole boring Rolex fiasco will start to be implemented to Tudor down the line. Let’s hope they don’t get too popular with the instagram/instant gratification generation!

I want to be able to walk into a shop and buy (another) one but I was actually a bit worried over Basel with the GMT fuss and hype around waiting lists (lists for a Tudor!). Thankfully it didn’t blow up into any real fuss but when I was reading some of the threads I was like arrrgh no, please let’s not get them started on this.

The AD’s were a warranty card withholding comment away from a feeding frenzy.

I'm definitely a fan. I had an in house Black Bay but sold it for a Ranger and l just purchased an nos Black Bay blue eta on the way. I'm also considering the new GMT as l believe they will be readily available unlike the big brother.

I like the fact most people don’t know what it is. Don’t live in a busy area and culture is different to USA or even London where people like to advertise their success. Often feel like I have to pull my sleeve down to cover the Rolex up. My Tudor is my most accurate watch too...

Tudors are looking very good these days.

I think the new GMT is the cat's meow.

After finally pulling the trigger on B.B. red, I am a big fan now. I do like their TT version very much as well as Pelagos. Will see how it works but I do see a few Tudor’s in my small collection.

I tried on the B.B. Chronograph the other day (when I put my name down for a BB58). I liked the look in pics but wasn’t blown away, but after seeing it in the metal & trying it on I absolutely loved it. There’s a bit of fuss over the thickness but I found it fine considering it’s not a small footprint anyway, doesn’t look unbalanced. Plus I’m used to wearing a vintage 7750 Pasadena style Chronograph which has a bigger thickness in comparison to its footprint.

It’s funny to think of Tudors as being inexpensive. They’re still a few times more expensive than Rolex watches were prior to their post-quartz luxury pivot (adjusting for inflation.) I’d never look at a Tudor wearer and think “What a cheapskate!”

One of the best bang for buck watches out there. Due to its utility my LHD easily gets most of my wrist time.

Tudor = 50% of my collection.

Ranger is getting a lot of wrist time now back on bracelet for the hot weather.

BBN possibly my favorite watch.

Hoping for a GMT in the 58 case at next Basel...
